AMENDMENT 1/01 - 12/01: ABkC KART RACING REGULATIONS

CONTAINED IN THE 2001 MSA KART RACE YEARBOOK

The following clarifications and amendments come into force with immediate effect.

1/01: 15.4: Delete everything after “Appendix 2”. (Page 52)

Everything but the first sentence of 15.4 is re-written in 15.4.1

2/01: 15.7: Add “ABkC/” before BSA (Typographical error Page 53).

3/01: 16.4: Delete “All systems of injection and/or spraying…” through to and including “Stuffers are permitted”. (Page 55)

Superfluous as included in 16.4.1

4/01: 19.3: Add at end “Karts may comply to MSA radiator positioning regulation N.15.2.8” (Page 58)

CIK regulations only permit radiators up to 55cm ahead of rear axle.

5/01: 19.4h: Amend carburettor type to VHSB 39nd (Page 59)

Typographical error.

6/01: 20.3: Add at end “Karts may comply to MSA radiator positioning regulation N.15.2.8” (Page 60)

CIK regulations only permit radiators up to 55cm ahead of rear axle.

7/01: 22.9: Amend weight to 155kg. (Page 62). Typographical error.

8/01: 10.7.2: Add at end of Slick section “YGB tyres without the RAC or MSA moulding may be used until 1.5.01. (Page 44)

Zip/Bridgestone are unable to supply the tyres with the moulded mark for the start of the year.

9/01: 12.13: Add at end of Slicks section: “Dunlop SL2000 tyres may be used until 1.5.01. (Page 49).

Dunlop is unable to supply the new class tyre at the beginning of the year.

10/01: Appendix 2: Add after title “2001 lists to follow”, and delete Formula 125 Open section completely. (Page 66)

11/01: Appendix 4 Section C.1: Amend from 160 to 165kg. (Page 74)

“Heavy” class weight is increased to 165kg.

12/01: Appendix 4 Section E.4: Add “If transponder lap scoring is being used, there must be a minimum of one manual lap scorer as per N.4.9.1 (Page 75)
