S1 Race Reports

S1 Qualifier at Buckmore Park 26.3.00

Formula 100C - Ashley Todd led a fraught first lap from Jamie Jakins, the two trading places for the first few laps. Todd dropped to sixth, Jakins to 16th, and Nick Strong took up the lead, which he held onto until the chequer. Damien Finch had earlier taken pole, but dropped a chain early in the race. Rick Narraway came all the way from grid 16 to third and Tiffany Chittenden had a great drive through the field from fourth in the 'B' to fifth overall.

Formula TKM - This was another excellent race, with Lee Mabbett leading the first twelve laps, until Mark Parbury took the lead at the second hairpin. James Hobbs took third but behind him were six karts all nose to tail. Ben Cruttenden kept his cool and took a well earned fourth.
