Pure racing for kids

Just to throw this in, myself I'm still reserving judgement;

With all the problems with the Tryton in the premier cadet class in the UK which is in someway mirrored by habitual problems with the Tillotson in the equivalent class here in France, isn't it a concern that true driving ability is being lost in the mire of sensitive set-up. Isn't this ultimately leading to the best mechanic/parent winning rather than the best driver?
