The way i've always heard it is that the dropped scores is to aid people who cannot necessarily make every round.

I have made use of this in my championship this year as I couldnt get to Ireland for a round. So i dropped it.

I'm pretty sure at some point in every drivers career, they may not be able to make a round, logistically, financially or otherwise, and would be sorely annoyed if dropped scores didnt count this.

The way it has always been is 0 through non-attendance can be dropped, but if your lowest score or 0 is including exclusions, that score has to count.

Am I wrong?
