I'm not an avid listener to Mr Evans but when I have tuned in there's been one or two 'odd' stories.

The USP here is the age. Dad rings local radio about his son and they send the youngest hack down in battered pool car to get the story. Before you know it it has worked its way up and one of Evans' researchers says this sounds like a good something to fill 5 mins.

Or am I being too cynical.

the other part of the story is the lad's Uncle apparently does Clio Cup so there's clearly a link from there.

Whether the story is real or a stunt is probably immaterial but if someone or someones is/are prepared to stump up Ł15k for someone who wont' race for another 4 years - then that's their call!!!
