Best to check directly with Stars about the number of signatures required. Contact details starsoftomorrow@brdc.co.uk
It used to be the case that you needed your six signatures to upgrade from the novice licence but that was straight to the a licence. You then needed six signatures (or evidence) from six races on the A licence.
Probably also worth calling the MSA to check the best route for upgrading - make sure that there is no time limit on getting the signatures and especially about carrying forward from 2008 into 2009. it should all be in your starter pack but to be sure call the licencing section on 01753 765050.
Apart from the signatures for stars you will have to qualify for 2009 - it may not be a case of everyone accepted.
