its for compatibility, most people use office on their comps. my university uses office and my girlfriend gem has a mac. she has just had to buy office for mac so that she can work on files anywhere instead of being limited. if mac software had compatible files with office applications then why bother, you wouldn't. I have to say the mac is the bees knees for design work, it really does make a difference but, I do prefer the comp for internet browsing, also the mac shows pictures so much better on websites. all in all if I was looking to buy another laptop then I would rather go for the mac. I would still spend good money on a top laptop because thats what the shops tell me I need to run Vista properly!

btw whats itunes, most people use that for their music on comps lol!!!
