Make sure you get something that there are people around your local circuits who know how to set up, which will help you.
Investigate what most cadets run around your area and how much it is to run (see posting about about 2 or 4 stroke)
Racesuits: There are expiry dates on the back, and although your youngster can race until they are 8, if you decided to buy new check the date! Sometimes ones offered reduced have short expire date. You can practice in these though.
(as above) Don't skimp on the helmet!
Invest in a set of marigolds or box of vynyl gloves for the wet weather!
