I know others using this camera who had this exact problem (camera switching off) The problem actually turned out to be with the batteries.

"biggest problem we have found is the vibrations actually destroy the batteries!! After sending two of them back we found this out, lol dont tell Oregon. Putting two layers of insulation tape around the batteries has cured this and ive recorded all of rounds 6+7 with one set of batteries."
