Yes it does imply that but that just goes to show how little the complainants know of the planning laws and permissions they are complaining are not being enforced.

FACT: Dunkeswell can hold 9 Race Sundays per year.

FACT: Dunkeswell can hold practice on EVERY Saturday and Bank Holiday throughout the year.

FACT: Dunkeswell can run Leisure Karts 365 days per year from 9.00am till 9.pm. (maximum of 8 at any one time)

Fact: Dunkeswell can hold car sprints EVERY SUNDAY from 12am till 6pm.

Fact: The global planning for the site including the adjoining airfield covers motorsport with the specific exception of Drag racing.

NOW WHAT IS IT THAT THE LOCAL COUNCIL ARE FAILING TO ENFORCE?

Every event and use of the circuit has been WITHIN the planning restrictions as set by the planning approvals that is why no action has ever been taken.

One interesting fact is that the Noise Abatement Notice referred to in the link was served on a Midlands Building company that just happened to be called Woodbury Park Ltd.
Woodbury Park Hotel Golf & Country Club Ltd (the owners at the time) do not run Kart Races !!
DKRC do that !!!

The owner of the Hollies ponds claimed at a public meeting that the karting activity caused an oily film on his pond. Naturally the location of his pond on the flightpath for one of the runways of the adjacent airfield that often can see 200 plus aircraft movements per day cannot be a contributory factor in the oily film!!
