Use the "wanted" section on this web site for kit. Kids grow out of stuff so quickly and I bet there will be loads of good quality second hand kit doing nothing.

I borrowed my daughter's first race suit and her second on only cost #30 but I have still several pairs of boots and gloves that have loads of life in them which we bought new (this is not an advert). As for hellmet we were lucy to find an XS motorcycle lid with the old Type A kite mark which was around the #80 mark. Not sure if this is still eligible but i know they are getting very rare but must still be work a look as, if they are still within the regs, there might be a few old stock items, especially xs size!
