Mains hookup would be good, we have a generator that cost £40, but we have found alterantives for many of the items we use so only use it once or twice a meet for a few minutes. We installed a night diesel heater in the van for this time of year, a gas stove, and an inverter for lights.
Hook up would be good, but for us wouldnt be cost effective, and wouldnt make life much easier for those without motorhomes.
Personally I would prefer circuits to:
1. see all gennies out by 10pm and people 'encouraged' to comply.
2. Invest in clean Toilets that arent flimsy, with soap and hand drying.
3. Pay Showers and hair dryer, tumble dryer?
4. Night microwave (pay) and washing up area.

For those smaller players with limited facilities and staying the weekend hot showers would be great, and tumble dryer to dry out some wet stuff. The vans and cafes do a great job, but if you are on circuit and have to eat on a night a microwave would be great.

I think there are possibly better items to invest in.
