Hey Darkcat the best and most effective IS! sandblasting. As i'm guessing your getting the chassis repowdercoated? If so then the metal needs to be scrupliously clean for the powder to take correctly, as whoever you choose to repowder the kart will tell you. And most provide the service as well for the above reason.
