Miffy, if you haven't done so already, get to 3S and talk to Andy Potter. He's been a front runner in TKM, Formula Blue and has moved to Rotax 177. He usually runs out of the Century awning with Clive & Nathan Freke. They are all top blokes and will offer unbiased advice and have masses of experience. More importantly, they will not pressure you to choose a particular option.
Having said that, pretty much all the guys at 3S are a friendly bunch as long as you don't want chapter and verse on raceday! Saturday practice is by far the best time.
