I followed it all.... until your conclusion.

Can you explain how the fact that it is QUICKER using the kerb makes it OK to leave the track?

Once you have, perhaps you'll explain why, when the races are run on the Long Circuit at Brands, the drivers should not be encouraged to take the short-cut from Cooper Staright through Mclaren straight onto Clark Curve completely AVOIDING the outfield part of the track.... because THAT is quicker TOO! And it would cheating in EXACTLY the same way as YOU are suggesting! But it is alright with YOU because it is QUICKER!

I am fascinated to see how you manage to remain consistent in your opinion on THOSE two....
