yes its impossable to say if the neck brace made a difference in any accident, im sure as hell not going to use my 8year old as a crash test dummy to find out..lol.
I think cadets should wear some form of neck protection as they are carrying a helmet similar weight to an adults with less neck streangth.
My son is comfortable wearing his neck brace and rib protectors as he has worn them since he started karting and is therefor used to wearing them.
IMO these bits of saftey equipment are down to driver preference, however i would like to see tests done on ALL neck braces to see how effective they are. Safety in motorsport is important, and we shouldnt have to wait until someone is hurt to react.
