quick question, as i have not seen these seats up close.
They don't seem to provide any extra side protection and will do nothing to restrict your head unless slamming into that tyre wall or kart backwards.

So what do they do except provide a head rest during normal racing?

Maybe any gearbox karters on here might know as they have been available to them for a long while.
