is this really cost saving?

afterall you may have your race tyres made to last 3 meets, but most people generalyl slap a new set of rubber on for racing then do a full test day on then on thier next outing.

somewhere tyres would be needed for testing. would people not end up buying new tyres to then test on?

i presume that this rule at buckmore only applies to slicks. what about wets? I would say you would use these generally just as much as you would do slicks in a winter series and they cost more!!!
