Bayford do standing starts and in my view they could be just as dangerous.

Yes they would enter the first corner at a much safer speed, but the problems lie in 3 areas

1 as the front row arive at the starting positions 1st, they are more prone to oiling up as they are waiting for the back markers to get into position. on a big grid with 20+ on, imaqine how oiled up the motors would be at the front of the grid to the ones at the rear. you would also find that the back row will enter the 1st corner at a faster speed than the front.

2 the carnage if even 1 person oils up pulling away! drivers behind would see the slower kart at the last minute and take emergancy avoiding action. In a big pack this could be a problem.

3 At bayford yesterday I did watch a peron on 3rd on the grid drive around people at the start. tremendous start! was this big gearing for a race start only or was it a jump start?

what about single file starts?
