Hi Booney,

We had something like that with our Alfano. The display and lap counter were going balmy, so I changed the battery.

But the problem came back and in the end, I found it was caused by water entering the lap sensor cable connector on the floor pan.

I had to dry it several times using a heat gun before normal function returned.

Worth a try, it could be the same problem.
