Agree that current racers, me included, wont want to see things change, but if it means the class not surviving at all then current racers will have to make the biggest cost sacrifice in terms of new chassis/components to keep it popular.

However, I can't see an evo TKM chassis with bolt on bits or 40mm axle going far enough to change peoples minds on what class to run, it still means TKM will be an isolated class, while probably losing even more of the current drivers who are not prepared to update to keep racing.

The idea of the CIK chassis for all classes seems to be the right thing. The idea of being able to switch classes KF-Rotax-TKM-Formula Blue with the same chassis is what will attract new regular and occasional guest drivers.

However as already pointed out, and I'm guessing there would be a significant performance gap between a CIK and a TKM chassis. Suggest there would need to be a phasing out period where with appropriate ballasting could allow old chassis to run against new CIK chassis.

Can someone just suggest with the new homologtaion in next year wont the TKM chassis designers, paul carr JKH etc, already have basically finalized what they are going to produce, so what does that mean if the tyres, axle diameter etc. change at this late stage?
