just finished this weekends clubby where we had an unexpected guest driver visit the track, now dont get me wrong this lad is was exeptional little driver and dont want to take anything away from the lad but..... when it came to the power of this lads engine.... well lets say it was an eye opener!!

ive never seen anything like it, we got a couple of handy young drivers, with what i thought was some good kit (engines) but this lad just drove thru the field like the rest of the grid were out for a sunday stroll.

the first heat within a lap pulled a 50yrd lead before he came of with a flung chain, started last for the second heat and withing 4 laps worked thru the field to first place with a comfortable win of 80yrds!!! driver ability is onething but this was unbeliveble and well the rest of the day was pretty much the same.

so what am i blabbing on about?
well i want to know how this class can be called level, when there are engines out there capable of such power!! i mean are you telling me that in this day and age these manufactures cant mill and machine barrels to be identical..comon please what a load of rubbish! theres so much difference between these engines that unless your prepared to pay mega bucks to be at the top than your wasting your time. there is certainally a divide between what you buy of the shelf and what is "sifted and sorted" for the cream. theres certainally no chance of the average joe walking up to engine builder x and saying heres £10,000 i want the best engine you can build and getting it, because its going to go to the person who spends a £100,000+ with him! all the talk about casting differences is a load of rubbish, it wouldnt suprise me if barrels were made in batches and in price brackets then sold to engine builder x, as there is clearly a divide in the field if thats whats out there!

guess im a bit annoyed to be honest that there are engines out there capable of such power when its supposed to be equal! it just goes to show that the average joe aint got a hope in hell chance.

well thats my 2ps worth!
