I don't think Hi99 has missed the point.

You say "...unless your prepared to spend the Ł, your childs got no chance at making it in the likes of stars ect..."

At the last Honda S1 round 3 of the club drivers we race against (and are competitive with) were entered as guests.

They were not using "big money" selected parts engines but were competing against that standard of engine. The highest placed came 4th in the final. He was 0.23 secs off the fastest time. The other two, who were nearer the back, were only 0.68 secs off the fastest pace.

The difference in performance between good, club standard, engines and S1 selected parts engines in Honda is small compared to the same in Comer.

So you can compete at National level without paying big bucks - you just have to select the right class.
