I don't think you can blame a Father thinking like this. From inside the bubble of local racing, it is impossible to imagine how you can find so much extra speed and consequently first impulse is to blame engines. Lets face it the average FKS, S1 engine is bound to be a bit quicker than the average club engines, but it's not the biggest difference.

I take the philosophy, that if you go back to a club race after racing nationally you should take the opportunity to share some of this information with the local racers.
