Tony you are such a cheeky bugger! And your very lucky that there was a fence between you and our female scruitineers when you said that, i dont know if you heard them? lol

Apart from the crash i did have a really good weekend. Some wicked racing with Rich and Martin at the back, although we were sat at the back of the grid wondering what the wheather was like up the front.

Thanks to Tony and Rob for making our weekends even more enjoyable, your like Magicians!...... Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee you will have to sort out between you which one is which ;-)

And to two top drivers for taking me on a track walk!

Like Barry has already said, thanks to everyone who asked after me, and greeted me with smiles when i came back to the circuit.

Just to clarify.....:

There was talk with John and a few others about what had happend, and from what we can gather the grub screws had come loose, even after being locktighted in. This caused the axle to move and push the pads away from the disc, there is also speculation that due to the disc rubbing on the pads as i would go round a corner, there is a good chance the brake fluid got rather hot......(don’t think i need to explain the rest).

So when it came to the crunch time (so to speak)....

I put my foot on the brake just after the line in the tarmac at Raymonds, there was little to no braking, so i pushed the brake harder and nothing happend (but this process worked on a previous corner). At that point i relised i was heading for the first wall at raymonds (this is all from where im sat, might look different to others). I realise that spinning the kart would have slowed me down as spoken about with the CofC (which makes sense as i have delt with brake failur by spinning before), but from what i can remember i didnt have much time or room left this time, I did try to get the kart to turn but ended up pointing at the first wall, which i think i could have come off worse had i hit that one i.e going in side ways in the first wall, or even coming out of the kart. I done what i could, in what little time i had.

Hindsight is the best sight.

Im just glad that i had the accident on my own and i didn’t hurt anyone (apart from reducing the length of the finals for the rest of the guys and gals......oh and Johns car, which Alex aprently came over giggling like a school girl about).

Once we have sorted the kart out we will be back.

Em
