all you need to go is simply:
take the bolts out of the brake disc carrier, slacken the bolts holding the brake disc on so that its loose,
take the grub screws out,
cover the axle in wd40,
use a steering boss to put the large round flat-side against the end of the axle so that you can use a hammer effectively without damaging the edges of the axle which can hinder getting it out through the bearings (and is also a useful tool to help put the axle in with a little persuasion without damaging the edges.

that process should literally take you less than 5 mins
