My (2008) MSA yearbook, appendix 2 -31, states:

"Data logged evidence, video and other photographic evidence may be considered by the clerks of the course, stewards or tribunals, providing they are satisfied as to its authenticity, and in all circumstances at their sole discretion."

It is also interesting to note, that the degree of proof required to win a protest is not "beyond reasonable doubt", but merely "on the balance of probability". i.e. you should not have to prove that you were knocked off, only that you were probably knocked off!
