If you come in slowly with the engine running, it will quickly foul the plug and you won't get a true reading of its colour.
Either kill the engine at high revs, (a bit more difficult with a direct drive) or spray the plug with brake cleaner and let it dry. Take it out of course!
That will give you a better idea of its running condition.
Don't worry about the fouling as it will get burnt off when the engine is up to speed and heat.
The Denso will last for ages, after all it's designed to last 30,000 miles and you do nowhere near that.
The plug isn't specifically designed for karts that do maybe a total of 4 hours a month, but for engines that are on the road under varying conditions every day.
They'll last for yonks.
