The Max seems to be more physical than the TKMs, probably because of the tyres, I don't know. When I was 14/15 years old racing juniors, these things didn't even enter my imagination, but after 15 laps or so... I'm starting to waine :-(

Another thing that comes with age is a greater consideration of accidents/injuries. I remember racing against a 40 something year old guy years ago and he told me that he would always back out of any kind of contretemps because he had work to go to on a Monday morning and couldn't afford any broken bones or injuries. As a teenager, this kind of information made him easy prey for me on track and I never had any problems getting by him. 25 years later, what he said is now coming back to haunt me as its something I think about myself :-(

It would be nice to have a senior series without a heavy weight limit for 'gentleman' drivers... where the races were a little shorter and the on-track behaviour a little less banzai. I know Dadson is supposed to be along those lines, but I've not seen any racing yet... so can't comment.
