Its been known for some time, the ABkC Start Karting brochure which came out in January said it would be withdrawn for 2010.
Its mentioned in the May 2008 ABkC newsletter
http://www.abkc.org.uk/news8_1.html
which would go to all BKIA members and went in Karting Magazine
