Well, as a new Karter myself I spent a phenominal amount of time researching my helmet (fnar, fnar).

It's unfortunate that the seller didn't give you more information, but I'd lay the blame equally at your door for jumping in with both feet and not researching it properly.

The information is out there to be had! (it's a chew on finding it I agree)

Chalk it down to experience and try and flog the helmet on eBay.
