If you hang the loops close to the rear axle bearings, any bend in the axle will not make enough difference unless the axle is really bent, in which case, you have a problem.
Obviously you have to make sure the king pin bolts aren't bent and the front is aligned before you use these loops, but isn't that basic things you do before worrying about a twisted chassis?
Your basic tape measure will tell you if the wheel base is out and a cross measure will check for 'lozenging'.
They certainly beat the old 'eye test' and are really useful while you're correcting a twist in a chassis when it's on the stand.
Changing to 32mm will change the chassis handling and is not the way to go anyway.
