4 wheels off at paddock is pretty common. In a similar way to Copse, whilst using it is not usually faster, the fact it is there allows the drivers to explore the limit with little punishment for errors. It is so common at Copse, the officials usually run a "three strikes" rule. These two corners are similar to the last corner at Rye House and the first at Kimbolton.

Graham Hill is a different example. Whilst drivers will only put two wheels off (the kerb isn't wide enough for four), they do it so often a dropoff from the kerb to the dirt is created. Officials often place cones along the kerb with a stop/go given for hitting them.

The examples above were given not to show that kerb usage is common in circuit racing, but that, where the officials have the inclination, the "white line" rule is enforced irrespective of the unwritten "two wheels" rule.
