The gloves are Gortex overmits. They have "Extremities" on the strap, a toggle to seal at the sleeve; are quite thin and light and have a rubberised palm, so give great feel and grip. I can't remember exactly where I got them, but it was either Demon Tweeks or (more likely) Blacks, the outdoor specialists.
They really are very good.....
