You're absolutely right. Assuming they've arranged a TV deal, the Super One administrators should be able to tell you exactly what the forecasted figures will be. The TV broadcaster will have forecast viewing figures as that's what they provide their advertisers with. Teams in higher profile domestic and international series' are usually provided with a pack detailing all of this, right down to the projected exposure depending on where you are in the championship/race running order. They should also be able to let you know whether they plan to do features/interviews/profiles etc... In a higher profile series, this informantion would form an essential instrument in fund raising for a budget. Press the S1 organizers for it. If they have managed to secure a decent TV deal then the extra costs in entries etc... will be a fair compromise... and for those who don't want to fork out for a high profile national championship, there are plenty of much cheaper options at club level.
