That's not entirely fair on guest drivers - it gives capable drivers a chance to compete against the best when maybe they couldn't afford the whole series.

And as the licence requirements are exactly the same for guests as for drivers doing the whole series the risk of less experienced drivers will still be there!

Slightly off topic but the worst driving standards I saw all season last year were at a Super One round in a class with no inexperienced or guest drivers at all... no prizes for guessing which one...!
