Yes it's true. They have been considering this for some time and it has been decided that Saturday testing / practice should be made available. This is addition to their normal race weekend.
Initially, it will be the 3rd Saturday of the month, but if it becomes popular then other days will also be considered.
I hear that they may consider doing ARKS tests on the same day. So if you can get your licence back in time, you could race the next weekend.
