I can understand the long-hub having an effect: it stiffens the tiny piece of axle which protrudes past the chassis and that MIGHT make a difference. However, the idea that the bit of axle that sticks out PAST the hub making a difference is (for me) a superb example of why I feel that SOME of your suggestions work in the same way that Homeopathy works.
We all know what 'placebos' are. However, in almost ALL medical trials, they show a MEASURABLE improvement in health (on average) of about TWENTY-FIVE percent of patients. That's 'tablets' which do NOTHING making people better!
Placebos DO make a difference .... for those who believe the the medicine will work.
