And becoming somwhat tedious.
Ok - Apparently I should explain my words again, despite them being perfectly clear and well reasoned...and to correct where you have(intentionally?) misinterpreted them again...
Reminds me of the old Monty Python argument sketch. Without the entertainment value. ("no it doesn't")

Do you always choose to believe evidence and cite opinion as absolute fact when it supports your argument, and summarily dismiss the same when it contradicts your argument. I try to avoid this. I find it helps my credibility.

1. Sorry, but with a name like ITpro I assumed...
Take a look at http://www.leatt-brace.com/uploads/Federations-Organisations%20that%20approved%20or%20certified%20Moto%20R.pdf
Not just South Africa, Ok?
2. The neck brace industry is relatively new and there is no legislation so no testing bodies exist. All testing must be paid for at massive expense (as the tests must be developed as well as conducted) and until there is type approval, everyone else can ignore it or, as you say, make the same claims without the testing. There are good guys and charlatans in this area, and for sure they will become known for which they are if type approval develops. Unfortunatley, the market for neck braces in tarmac based applications is a little limited so type approval may never happen
People have to make their own judgement - A process which I am happy to see without trying to stamp a heavily polarised view on.
3. Yes - you are right. You clearly know nothing about bike racing. Try this - put a hans device and helmet on then look at the midday Sun... no? didn't think so. It does not move enough. Same on race bikes. On Supermoto (tarmac bike racing, riders sitting upright) it is strongly used and supported. In Childrens motocross racing in USA it is a mandatory safety device at clubs in some of the most historically litigious states.
4. I was being ironic asking you for proof for something that we all accept. I did not miss the point. It is now clear that to you proof and evidence are either the same thing, or totally different according to what story you want to tell.
4. (again) Are you stuck in the 1970's? I expect that was the last time such a topic came up amongst Neurosurgeons seeing as its 37 years since helmets became a legal requirement on UK roads.

Its a shame you say you will not accept my "advice" on the subject, which if you would care to review from my first post was, and I quote -
"Draw your own conclusions from the EVIDENCE you can find on the net and elsewhere, and from your experience of the type of accident that occurs in karting"
This is all that I believe can currently be said to loving parents concerned that they are exposing their children to dangers beyond their control, and who want to provide the highest level of protection available so that they never have to think "if only I..."
With respect.
