We were doing some testing (TKM) last year at a track that allows different classes to run at the same time and a "Cadet" went past us like we were standing still. When we got back to the pits it was a very nicely modified Cadet chassis fitted with all-wheel brakes and a Junior gearbox engine. The lad was quite small (ie he wasn't too big for the chassis) so probably about 11/12 and he looked very good in it - so, to answer your question : yes, I'm sure he'll be fine
