I used to get them a lot in the summer when the grip levels are high.

For me, it seems this stemmed from holding the steering wheel in the wrong position. I previously held the wheel on the lower to mid part of the wheel. I read some interesting articles about holding the wheel higher up and how it helped the weight transfer in the kart and also noticed a lot of the really quick drivers seemed to hold the wheel on the higher part of the wheel (10 to 2 position).

Once I got used to it, not only did it improve my driving style in terms of smoothness but magically, by blister problem disappeared - so I guess that was a root cause of the problem! (Or just a massive coincidence)

It may seem strange for a couple of sessions, but once you get used to it I found it gives you much more control and may be worth it if it stops the blister problem.

Hope it helps.
