Your instructor was CORRECT..... for your first lesson in car-racing.

Think the concept through.... in your first car ROAD driving lessons, you were taught to pass the wheel through your hands and NOT to let it 'slide'. Is that how you think you drive on the roads now that you are more practiced?

Do what the others suggest. However.... as a simple rule.... things that worked for Ayrton do NOT always work for anyone ELSE! His braking MAY work for you but it may not..... his use of the throttle was different than for most other drivers and his use of 'choke' (to the best of my knowledge) has NEVER been successfully used by ANYONE else.....

Ayrton was NOT like other people!
