Point taken and off course if the chassis has gone soft and is flexing more the effect would be more pronounced.

It's still interesting though that the popular conception that large amounts of toe out is only for the wet. When we started on the 85cc 2-strokes here they were on very soft rubber and even though we found the best lap times came with lots of tow-out, but we had to stop using it because the inside quarter of the front tyres would barely last race day. 80 laps and they were finished.
