To follow on from what Aquila said about easykart, I moved into it this year after racing in TKM and Formula Blue (mainly at the three tracks mentioned earlier but also at national level) and I can honestly say it's the best move I ever made.

The championship itself is ran by Club100 which is by far the most organised and freindly karting company in the UK IMO. You don't get any of the bullsh*t involved in normal ABKC club/national racing of constant firing jobs and protest after protest. Infact, there's only been 1 red flag all year in the series (and I've been led to believe there weren't any last year) compared to the MBKC Gold Cup the other week where there were at least 4 throughout the whole meeting (including one in Timed Qualifying)!

The karts themselves are all the same make and design, gearing is set to 1 sprocket per track and the grid is sorted by timed qualifying. Now Certain members on this forum will come on and say that it's boring and the karts aren't very set-up dependant. Trust me; don't believe a word of it, I've been doing it all year and I'm still learning new "variables" that can be done to the kart set-up which I never did on a normal CIK chassis and I've been involved in kart battles consisting of 10 karts or more nose to tail at times during the season with the places swapping numerous times during the race.

Best idea would be to look at the easykart site (www.easykart.co.uk) and judge for yourself whether you like the class.

Jamie.
