I think the point was that this is just another clone class being set up to line another businesses pockets. When what is really needed as you have pointed out is racing that appeals to the masses and allows anyone to win based on talent, rather than depth of pockets.

The main thing that is missing in karting, especially MSA karting is the bridge between hire karts and full on racing.

If the MSA can't or isn't steering the formation of new classes in this direction, then it b****y well should be.
