Thank you to all that have made constructive comments about this years Kartmania every year we work hard to improve and expand the show but we can only go as large as the amount of exhibitors that want to attend and support karting !!
The sat nav was a bit of an issue and will be changes next year, there were 5 signs on stands to the left of the ticket office on the green carpet spaced between the ticket office and Kartboot indicating the entrance, kartboot and workshops, ok they were only A3 so point taken they will be larger next year, the workshops started at 10.am until 4pm with 12 throughout the day and aprox 5 mins between each so they were almost back to back and listed within the program, if anyone would like any different workshops covering other topics next year then please let me know.
As for the MSA not attending that has always been a big issue and every year i try to get a representitive to come to KartMania and talk to people, i know that a number of visitors were looking for the MSA to ask about getting a licence and they wanted application forms but as you all know they once again did not attend, perhaps they think karting is not important enough for them !!!!
Initially there was going to be an infomation base as promised but when i realised that the ABkC could not supply enough people to man the stand for the whole weekend, it was a pointless exercise to have the infomation centre empty for at least one day, there were in fact ABkC club stands at KartMania who did put a lot of effort into the show and thank you to Andy Fairless racing who moved onto the unprepared ABkC stand to at least make it more presentable and to Colin Wright who gave up his Saturday to represent the ABkC. Everyone in karting realises that the ABkC is represented well be a minority of people and when these people are busy then it is a problem, perhaps for next year i can have the infomation base we need.
Meanwhile they will be represented well at Autosport !!!!
We are constantly working hard to improve KartMania so please continue with any helpfull comments but please don't forget i can only do what the karting industry will assist me in doing and i cannot force exhibitors to attend if they are not available and i cannot close down circuits just because the show is on so we do have limits.
