Having raced several different classes I started racing a 250 national when I was 17. I don`t race at MSA level but do non MSA club meetings last year we were getting 14 on the grid. As for cost you can spend as much as you want like any karting. A good second hand chassis Ł250 then just get your self a Honda cr 250 plenty about that are fully sorted ready to race can be had for approx Ł1200.
