I have an Oregon Scientific action cam. The quality is similar to the MD80. I wasn't very impressed with the quality when used in a kart. It's too bumpy and that causes the picture quality to be reduced. It's also quite narrow angle so you can't really see your hands and feet in the shot. The Contour HD seems to be the one that everyone uses now, but it is expensive unless you can find a cheap one on ebay.
