Our boy did super 1 in 2009 and krashmasters this year, both required time from school.
I think S1 was 3days in total.

School were fine about it as it is classed as a sporting activity and we organised the dates in advance. The rules were that as long as he was doing ok, didnt have unxplained absences or lates, homework was in on time and he caught up with what he missed etc it would be approved.
However, We didnt take fridays for 'testing' every other week as I know some have done so our time off was minimal.
Be organised and upfront with school.
