..one 30 and one 32mm, the effects of a hard and a soft axle can have opposite results in each chassis.

That's what makes the answers you sometimes give to people, sound completely wrong.

You 3/10ths and 6/10ths are obviously possible.

The adjustments that make it possible may not work on another kart.

The fact they do make a huge difference is borne out by many people's results of testing.

And therein lies the answer, test test test AND document the results and conditions for future reference.

Different chassis react to differently to the adjustment or items that are changed.

One chassis will have big variations with axles and hubs, another will have big changes with seat stays and rims.

It makes it interesting and intriguing.

That's why it's useful to state your chassis when asking a setup question.
